The Focusrite Scarlett 16i16 4th Gen is a desktop-format USB-C audio interface with 16 inputs and 16 outputs, sharing the 18i16's feature set in a slightly more compact body. It is built for project studios that need plenty of I/O with 4th Gen Scarlett quality. Two 4th Gen Scarlett preamps, with up to 69 dB gain and Air (Presence and Harmonic Drive), feed converters with a 122 dB dynamic range, alongside line inputs for outboard gear, Hi-Z instrument inputs, MIDI I/O, and ADAT plus S/PDIF digital connectivity. Separate headphone, monitor and line-out mixes are handled through Focusrite Control 2 on desktop and mobile, with Auto Gain and Clip Safe to speed up sessions. It is a compact, connection-rich studio hub.
